The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun filled event for girls, their families and favorite dolls! Our young models provide an entertaining and educational look at how generations of American Girls have used clothing to express their own unique style and personality.  The entire show is performed by local children to benefit HITS Theatre’s programs, which include musical theater classes for children ages 6 through 18.

Be sure and take part in our special activities. Meet and take your picture with American Girl models dressed in historical clothing. You can also join us for story time and hear American Girl stories.

There is no fee to audition, but there are requirements (mostly time commitments) for each girl who wishes to participate in the show. These are outlined in the enclosed application form. To be considered for early audition times, the completed application form, a recent full-length photograph, and completed photo release form are due September 7th, 2010.

Things you should know before submitting your application:

  • Please make sure you provide a valid email address that you check frequently. The majority of our communications will be via email this year. We will send you an email acknowledgement when your application has been received.
  • There are a limited number of spots available for the shows. The model application process and show are meant to be a fun time for all girls. No pressure, no stress – if you are not selected to audition as a model for one of the shows, you may consider purchasing a Guest Model package and still participate in the event.
  • If we receive your application by Sept. 7th, audition dates will be confirmed via email. Each potential model will be sent a confirmation email they must bring to auditions.
  • The auditions are held on a a first-come, first-serve basis. Those girls who preregister are seen first.
  • All models selected to participate in the show will be notified via email by September 20th, 2010.
  • Models are allowed to wear any type of clothing when auditioning.

Fashion Show ticket prices start at $45 and include a performance, food, souvenirs and a tea party.
